The New American Studio Ensemble is the resident acting company at The New American Theatre.

Membership is by audition only.

Members participate in artistic director and Julliard graduate Jack Stehlin's exclusive weekly Advanced Scene Study for Studio Ensemble members only every Saturday 10am - 1 pm or Robert Cicchini's On-Camera TV and Film Studio on Tuesdays 7:30 - 10:30 pm. The studios are inspired by the teachings of Stanislavsky. The Studio is not limited to the actor's work in the theatre. We also seek to interpret the actor's challenge on film and in television.

Members also collaborate on the production of new and classic plays in the Studio Ensemble Lab Series, and are invited to audition for all New American Theatre mainstage productions.

If you are at the beginning of your studies, or in an intermediate phase, membership in the New American Studio for Actors (our professional actor training program), can help prepare you for membership into the Studio Ensemble. If you have questions about which program may be right for you, we will discuss your opportunities at your audition / interview.

How to Join
For one fee, actors belong to an award-winning theatre company, AND participate in a weekly professional acting studio. If you are interested in joining The New American Studio Ensemble, you are required to audition / interview. We hold audition / interviews by appointment most Saturdays at 1:15 pm.

We ask for a 2 minute (or less) monologue.
